AN ODE TO AN ACTIVIST, Millcent Tanhira, GALZ

A small stature, a giant voice, a powerful spirit
How best can I describe you, words fail me.
Your wit, intelligence and determination
Amidst all the struggle and condemnation
With the stubbornness of a horse, you still rose
Stood higher than your own height could reach
Fought with your every breath till the end.
A true hero, you are.

Dear Friends at GALZ

It is with great sorrow that we received this weekend the news of Keith's passing away. We will miss Keith. At Hivos, many of us have come to know and work with him over the past years. For Hivos, supporting the struggle for gay rights and the fight against aids is part of our wider mission of promoting development, human rights and an inclusive society.
